Leveraging his professional background as a Doctor of Engineering and Professional Electronics Engineer, Commissioner Apag has initiated a comprehensive review and update of SUC science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programs. This initiative aims to align engineering and computer sciences curricula with the demands of Industry 4.0. The modernized curriculum integrates critical skills such as industrial robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), data analytics, and artificial intelligence into foundational engineering coursework. Additionally, it strengthens industry-academe linkages, establishing structured internship programs and collaborative research labs with top-tier technology firms in the Philippines and abroad.
