CHED Ranks Among Most Approved, Trusted Government Agencies in PAHAYAG Q2 2026

QUEZON CITY — The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) once again ranked among the country’s most approved and trusted government agencies in the PAHAYAG 2026 Second Quarter Survey conducted by PUBLiCUS Asia, Inc.

CHED placed third in approval with a 48 percent rating, following the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) at 63 percent and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) at 53 percent. The Commission also received a 35 percent trust rating, sharing the third-highest rating with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. TESDA led with 45 percent, followed by DOST with 37 percent.

The latest results underscore CHED’s sustained strong standing in recent PAHAYAG surveys. Under the leadership of Chairperson Shirley C. Agrupis, the Commission has repeatedly figured among the country’s leading government agencies in public approval and trust. In the 2025 End-of-Year Survey, CHED placed third among both the most approved and most trusted government agencies.

Chairperson Agrupis welcomed the latest results as recognition of the Commission’s continuing efforts to strengthen Philippine higher education and improve the delivery of its programs and services.

“We are grateful for the public’s approval and trust in CHED. These results reflect the dedication of our personnel and the collective support of higher education institutions, partner agencies, and stakeholders across the country,” Chairperson Agrupis said.

“It inspires us to further strengthen our programs, expand opportunities for Filipino learners, and ensure that our programs remain responsive to the needs of students and the country,” she added.

Under the CHED ACHIEVE Agenda and guided by the vision of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for an inclusive and future-ready education system, the Commission continues to improve the delivery of student financial assistance, strengthen quality assurance, advance digital transformation and internationalization, and align higher education programs with the country’s workforce and development priorities.
