Institutional Overview
Siquijor State College (SSC), located in Larena, Siquijor, is the only public higher education institution in the province. Established in 1920, it provides technical-vocational and tertiary education with programs like Business Administration, Hospitality Management, and Teacher Education. It is committed to driving local growth through instruction, research, and extension services. The college traces its roots back to the founding of Larena High School by Lt. Governor Vicente Villanueva. Over the decades, it evolved from a sub-provincial high school and a national vocational school into a full-fledged state college. Today, it operates with a main campus in Larena and a satellite campus in the municipality of Lazi. SSC offers a range of undergraduate, graduate, and vocational programs designed to meet local and global industry standards.
